2. littlefamilyjl.blogspot.com =  private - our old family blog, volume 1 (started April 2007 - ended November 2010)   - This blog will remain in existence, but will no longer be updated.

3. littlefamilyjl2.blogspot.com = private - our new family blog, volume 2 (started November 2010 -  )

4. littlefamilyfun.blogspot.com = public - my crafty, preschool, activity blog.

Still confused by my crazy attempt at blog organization? 

It's ok. That just means that you are normal.

Dear Fellow Mommy,

So, here is the deal.
You are looking at my blog and one of 2 things is going through your mind:

1. "Wow. I'd like to try a few of these activities with my own kids. I feel Awesome."

or

2. "Wow. I'm not doing any activities like these with my own kids. I feel Lame."

How do I know this?
Because I, too, have experienced both joy and discouragement in looking at other moms' blogs.


Therefore, I would like to make a request of you, dear fellow mommy, if I may..........

#1. If you find yourself feeling like this: "Wow. I'd like to try a few of these activities with my own kids. I feel Awesome.", keep it up! You probably realize that it's impossible to try and do every single fun idea that you come across on this blog or any other. But I hope a few of the things I share will be fun for you and your family. And if you do try something you found on here, I'd love to know!

#2. If you ever feel like "Wow. I'm not doing any activities like these with my own kids. I feel Lame.", I beg you to cut yourself some slack! A friend of mine said something I love: "Doing projects with your kids is NOT what makes someone a good mom! I just happen to find doing crafts with my kids one of my favorite things to do! But many moms don't. That's OKAY. Some of the best moms I know don't enjoy it either. Big deal! They are still amazing moms."   Plus, you must realize that regardless of what you see me do with my kids on here, there are PLENTY of things that I don't do. And if you were to post YOUR strengths on a blog for all the world to see, I'd probably look at it and dream of the day that I could be as amazing as YOU!

So, good luck being a mom. I know I certainly need it!

Yes, we decided to go private.
But we are going to use this blog to let you know when we post on our private blog so it should still show up in your Google Reader (if you use that), or on your blog's sidebar (if you use that). So you'll never be left in the dark. We certainly` want to invite all our friends and family to still have access to our blog.
